Welcome to an International Forensic Medicine Congress in Helsinki, Finland!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Baltic Medico-Legal Association (BMLA) will be holding its 7th Congress on 11-13 November 2010 in Helsinki, Finland, at the Sokos Hotel Presidentti. The theme of the congress 'Sudden and unexpected death' goes to the heart of our discipline. The theme covers forensic pathology, toxicology, odontology and biology, including DNA investigations.

Oral and poster presentations are welcome on the topics of the theme.

The Baltic Sea countries form the core of the Association founded to improve and expand relations and co-operation between the forensic medicine institutions round Baltic Sea and other countries as well. Its aim is also introduce new scientific discoveries into medico-legal practice and in forensic medicine.  Hence, although primarily a scientific meeting, the Congress also welcomes presentations of good practices.
